For best results and a full “plunge” we recommend leaving Clean Canvas on your hair for 3 minutes. Clean Canvas is excellent for a double cleanse providing an Amplified detox.

Absolutely. Clean Canvas and all products from The Root Project are formulated using safe, natural ingredients and are Dermatologist and Clinically tested. If the tingle is uncomfortable, rinse immediately with water.

For best results, we recommend leaving moisturizer on for a few minutes to fully penetrate. You know your hair best!

For Best results, we recommend rinsing Power Smooth after 3 minutes and not to exceed 5 minutes - and finish with a dose of Instant Pleasure Silky Hair Moisturizer.

Yes! In partnership with #Tide, our packaging is made from 100% up-cycled ocean bound plastic. #TIDE collects waste materials from our oceans, rivers, and coastlines and transforms it into resin that can be used to Mold bottles and jars. Our cartons are made from FSC paper, that has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, that words to protect sustainable forest management. Due to limitations, our current pumps are made from recyclable plastic, but we are working towards an even more sustainable option for future production runs!

Yes! Our formulas are free of parabens, sulfates, silicones, and artificial fragrances, prioritizing clean, effective ingredients.

All Our products are powered by The Root Complex—glutathione, cysteine, sunflower seed oil, rosemary, and avocado oils to repair and nourish your hair over time. Each product has it’s own star ingredient to optimize key attributes—please visit our product pages for details.

We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for unopened or lightly used products. Simply contact us at returns@therootproject.com to begin the process.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If you prefer, we can also issue store credit for future purchases.
